Dude - that's awesome. glad you'll be in a city I'll be more likely to visit. your cost of living will go through the roof though. if you can manage it, you should try living near grand army plaza. it's a great neighborhood and is only a few stops away from BC - dan
Don't you guys get tired of moving? We've moved twice in the past 3 years, and I really don't want to do it again any time real soon. (And one of those moves was only from NJ to eastern PA!) Do you hire movers, or do you just do it all yourselves?
We'd been moving ourselves and hiring a couple people to help load or unload the trucks, but W&L covered the cost of movers so we used them last time.
Not sure what Brooklyn's policy is on moving, but most schools seem to cover it for tenure track jobs.
And God yes I'm getting tired of it. I've actually been involved in a move every year for the last seven years since the one year we had a break I helped my dad move to Washington.
